Trillium Communities offers boutique senior living, operating 11 communities on the west coast of Canada. They are passionate about providing excellent care to seniors across the spectrum of aging, which includes independent living, assisted living, and long-term care while supporting seniors and families through the process.

Trillium Communities has been a client of Leap for many years, and we were hired to create a brand-new website using the latest version of WordPress, which is easy to update in the backend as well as optimized to perform well on all devices.

As a Creative Designer, I worked with the Creative Director and Art Director on the wireframes and organization of the website, as well as ensuring the look and feel matched the existing brand integrity we have established for Trillium over the years. Using custom, timeless photography of people enjoying the communities, we also incorporated branded objects—the martini, typewriter, and teapot—throughout the site, which have been used in Trillium’s advertising campaign. The new site also introduced a new brand video, and I was involved in creating the storyboard and providing art direction for the video shoot.

I also worked with our Lead Developer, Andrew McDonald, to build the site, managing an organized handoff that included custom functionality, a style guide, and new blocks within our framework. Additionally, I contributed to the website's production by adding visuals and engaging content, and I conducted quality testing to ensure the site was visually appealing and functional across all screen sizes.
